The workshop is expected to build synergy across many disciplines related to spatio-temporal research and stimulate new frontiers for future research. We plan to establish a summary of research developments and achievements in spatio-temporal theories and their application to urban, environmental and social sciences. Our intention is to publish a special issue in the Journal of Spatial Information Science as a follow-up of the event.
In order to stimulate interdisciplinary we call for position papers which represent well-founded opinions on the scientific questions of the workshop. Position papers must be within the scope defined by this call for contributions. Submissions are limited to 4 pages in standard Springer LNCS format. Each submission will be reviewed by at least two members of the workshop program committee. Submissions will be evaluated on the basis of their contribution to the workshop scope, including originality, critical soundness and presentation quality. Proceedings will be distributed to the participants during the workshop.
A concluding panel will be organized and will open a discussion and to build consensus within the community about the core research challenges that must be addressed before spatiotemporal GIS can be successfully applied to physical and social sciences. All submissions should be sent to christophe[dot]claramunt[at]ecole-navale[dot]fr.
